Job Fair Success: Bardhaman witnessed a significant employment opportunity recently with a successful job fair organized under a government initiative. This event brought multiple companies under one roof, providing a great chance for job seekers to interview for various positions, some of which offered substantial earning potential.
Opportunity Knocks for Over 150 Candidates
The job fair, which focused on job and apprenticeship opportunities, was organized for candidates holding certificates in ITI, Polytechnic, Vocational Training, PBSSD, and other related qualifications. Held at the Government ITI in Bardhaman, the event was a joint initiative by the West Bengal Government’s Technical Education Training and Skill Development Department.
More than 150 young men and women participated in the interviews, seeking employment opportunities across the 16 companies that took part in the fair.
Key Outcomes and Government Initiative
Ramshankar Mondal, an official from the District Information and Culture Department, confirmed the success of the event. A total of 155 candidates attended the fair.
Out of these, 83 candidates were selected/shortlisted by the participating companies.
Significantly, 49 offer letters have already been distributed to the selected candidates.
Positive Feedback from Participants
The young participants expressed their gratitude for the West Bengal Government’s initiative. They highlighted the benefit of having multiple companies in one location, making the job search process much easier.
“The government’s effort in organizing this kind of job fair will create many more opportunities for young people in the future and significantly boost their morale,” said one of the attendees.
This successful job and apprenticeship fair demonstrates the government’s commitment to boosting employment and skills development for the youth in Bardhaman and surrounding areas.
