Kakarbhitta, Nepal – A 10-year-old Indian boy has brought home the bronze from an international karate tournament, leaving his family, friends, and teachers brimming with pride. Sakib Hossain, a fifth-grader from the remote village of Chachand in Murshidabad district, India, secured the third position in the recently concluded Indo-Nepal Karate Championship.

The tournament, held in the border town of Kakarbhitta, Nepal, saw young athletes from both nations vie for the top spots. Sakib, accompanied by his mother and school teacher, traveled to Nepal to participate in the prestigious event. Despite facing stiff competition, the young karateka showcased exceptional skill and determination, clinching the bronze medal.

“We’ve always known Sakib had a special talent,” said Rakib Hossain, Sakib’s father. “Winning a medal in an international competition is a moment of immense pride for our family. We hope he continues to excel and bring more laurels to our country.”

Sakib’s success has not only filled his family with joy but has also inspired his schoolmates and teachers. His school, a private institution in Raghunathganj, celebrated his achievement, recognizing the young athlete’s dedication and hard work.
