This significant announcement was made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, signaling the preparations for one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world.

The holy event will kick off with the ‘Dhwajarohan’ (flag hoisting) ceremony in Trimbakeshwar, alongside ceremonies at Ramkund and Panchavati in Nashik. Chief Minister Fadnavis highlighted the extensive infrastructure development underway, stating, “We have floated tenders worth ₹4,000 crore for Kumbh Mela works. Some of these works are in the final stages. We will float tenders worth another ₹2,000 crore.” A key focus of these efforts is the purification of the Godavari River through STP works and emphasis on water purification.
