Positive Barta: New Delhi, June 14: In a significant moment for social impact and positive change, “Positive Barta” was today honored with a prestigious award by the Asia Book of Records. The recognition was bestowed in the rare and unique category of “Largest Social Empowerment Campaign by an Individual Across Multiple Platforms.” The ceremony, held at the esteemed Press Club of India in the capital city of Delhi, celebrated an initiative that has quietly but profoundly touched countless lives across the nation.
The event, which commenced on Saturday afternoon, saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including Mr. Sanjeev Ghai (Representative of Rashtrapati Bhavan), Dr. Shweta Jha (Representative of Asia Book of Records), Mr. Sikandar Yadav (Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India), Mr. Mukesh Kaushik (Delhi Bureau Chief, Dainik Bhaskar), Captain Bhagirath Samui (Arjuna Awardee & Former Air Force Officer), Mohammed Irshad Ahmed (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court), Dr. Suresh Singhvi (Co-Director, Liver Transplant, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), Mr. Gautam Lahiri (President, Press Club of India), Mr. S.H. Shams (Group Editor, Missile Express Group of Newspaper), and other change-makers and bearers of hope from across the country.
This day was not merely an award ceremony; it was a celebration of a dream, a voice, and an unwavering dedication to human empowerment.
During the ceremony, Dr. Shweta Jha, representative of the Asia Book of Records, presented the honor to Mr. Malay Peet, Founder and CEO of Positive Barta. In her address, she stated that the concept behind Positive Barta is absolutely unique in the Asia-Pacific region, with no parallel initiatives. This distinctiveness is why the award was being presented.
To mark this historic moment, Positive Barta also organized a national public awareness program titled: “Positive Barta: A Movement of Positivity and Empowerment.” This program brought together thought leaders from various sectors—including education, health, civil society, and women’s entrepreneurship, among many segments of society—on a single platform, fostering a powerful confluence of ideas and emotions.
At a time when the world grapples with negativity, fear, and division, Positive Barta chose a different path. This initiative began with one individual’s deep belief that good news matters, empowerment must start at the grassroots, and positive stories deserve a wider platform.
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Malay Peet said: “I am grateful, but even more so, I am convinced that the best stories are incomplete. Awards remind us that we are on the right path – it doesn’t mean we have reached our destination. For the team behind Positive Barta and the thousands of lives connected to it, this is not just an honor, but a reminder that when purpose guides action, records are created on their own.”
He concluded his address by recalling the tireless efforts of the Positive Barta team with a simple invitation: “Take a positive story home today. We believe that even one story of hope can change a life. Imagine what could happen if there were millions of such stories.”
