Gangtok, Sikkim | June 9, 2025 – In a significant stride towards realizing the national vision of a developed India by 2047, the Sikkim government today launched a landmark two-day workshop, “Viksit Sikkim se Viksit Bharat @2047,” in Gangtok. The initiative, inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang, aims to strategically align Sikkim’s growth trajectory with the national objective, fostering a future of self-reliance, sustainability, and robust development for the Himalayan state.
Addressing a distinguished gathering of senior bureaucrats, subject matter experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives at the prestigious Manan Kendra, CM Tamang delivered a compelling keynote address, outlining a comprehensive roadmap for Sikkim’s progress. His vision emphasized balanced regional growth, sustainable development practices, and empowering citizens as cornerstones of the state’s future. The Chief Minister underscored Sikkim’s crucial role in contributing to the “Viksit Bharat @2047” agenda through grassroots-level planning and community-driven initiatives.
