Tuhin’s Green Embrace: A Little Boy’s Big Message

Tuhin’s Green Embrace: In a small village home, surrounded by open fields and endless skies, lives Tuhin, a spirited five-year-old. Amidst his playful sprints, games, and schoolwork, Tuhin’s heart holds a special fondness for one activity above all else: planting trees.

Behind his house, Tuhin nurtures his very own small garden. With his tiny hands, he’s planted a variety of trees—mango, neem, Krishnachura, bel, and togorer. Every day after school, his first stop is his green companions. He meticulously waters each one and gently probes the soil, checking for any pests at their roots. These cherished trees aren’t just anonymous plants to Tuhin; he’s given them names: Mithu, Guddu, and Chandu.

One day, his mother, observing his deep devotion, asked him, “Tuhin, why do you love trees so much?”

With a sweet smile, Tuhin replied, “They are my friends, Ma. When they grow big, they’ll give us shade and fruit. They give us air when it’s hot. If I don’t love them, who will?”

Tuhin’s heartfelt affection for nature slowly began to spread, touching everyone around him. Inspired by his example, other children in the neighborhood started planting trees. Even at school, a small tree-planting initiative was launched, aptly named “Tuhin’s Garden.”

This story of a young Tuhin serves as a poignant reminder that love isn’t confined to human relationships; it can extend beautifully to nature. Imagine a world where every child shares Tuhin’s love for trees—our Earth would truly blossom into a vibrant, greener planet.

A small hand can indeed be the start of a monumental change, and Tuhin is living proof.
