What happens after death? What changes in the body?

0

Death is an inevitable fact of life. From birth every living being will die, this is the universal law. But what happens after death? The answer to this question is still shrouded in mystery.

What happens to the body after death?

Just before death, one by one the various organs of the body stop functioning. First the breathing stops. Then the heartbeat stops. Within the next 5 minutes, the body is deprived of oxygen and the cells begin to die. This situation is called ‘point of no return’.

Some organs remain active even after death

However, some organs remain active for hours or days even after death. These organs can be removed and transplanted into another patient within hours of death.

Heart: The heart may beat for 4 to 6 hours after death.

Kidneys: Kidneys can function up to 72 hours after death.

Liver: Liver is active for 8 to 12 hours.

Hair and Nails: Hair and nails can grow even after death. Many times it is seen that people’s beards grow even after death.

Urinary tract: Urinary bladder may empty even after death. Urine is often seen oozing from dead bodies after death.

Nervous system activity

Even after death, the nervous system takes some time to completely stop functioning. As a result, movement can be seen in the dead body. Movement occurs even when the muscles are stiff, as they would have been in life.

Life after death

Different religions and beliefs have different beliefs about what happens after death. Some believe in the existence of life in the afterlife, some believe in vanishing into nothingness. The mystery of death is still unknown, but with the advancement of science, maybe one day we will get the answer.
