Live discussion meeting “Vikash Talk”: Agartala, October 1: The power of positive thinking is at the heart of social transformation, and without it no meaningful development – be it financial, social or human resource enhancement – can materialize. From this core belief “Vikash Talk” is a live discussion series organized by Positive Message in association with Tripura Santiniketan Medical College. The series is being held daily from 5 pm onwards at City Office of Medical College located at 140, Motor Stand Road, Agartala, Tripura.
The initiative aims to create a positive mindset among the residents with the hope of accelerating the development of the state. The sessions feature prominent members of society, engaging in thought-provoking discussions on how to improve the state’s trajectory.
Vision for 2027: Renaissance of Tripura (Live discussion meeting)
Dr Malay Peet, president of Positive Messages, emphasized the larger goal of the initiative: to create an environment that encourages non-resident and expatriate Tripura residents to return to the state by 2027. Through collaborative discussions, the plan is to cultivate a positive. The region is conducive to sustainable development.
One of the most ambitious goals is to build Tripura Knowledge City by 2027. This hub of innovation and learning will be developed in coordination with the state government, focusing on human resource development and improving economic infrastructure. Knowledge City aims to be a magnet for non-resident professionals and entrepreneurs, providing a platform for them to contribute to the progress of the state.
Empowering women entrepreneurs
A key component of the Bikash Talk initiative is the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. Dr Peet outlined plans to set up hundreds of women entrepreneur-led institutions across Tripura, thereby promoting financial independence and entrepreneurship among women in the state. Steps have already been taken to accelerate these plans, signaling a forward-thinking approach to gender equality and economic inclusion.
Tripura Santiniketan Medical College: Paving the way
Tripura Santiniketan Medical College, co-organizer of Vikas Talk, will also play an important role as a facilitator of these ambitious projects. The medical college is not only contributing to the intellectual and medical landscape of Tripura but also working towards human resource development. Starting from 2024, the institute will offer 150 seats in its MBBS programme, with the third round of counseling starting soon.
