Orientation Training Programme: Belonia, February 27, 2025 – A one-day orientation training programme was organized for Community Health Officers (CHOs) at the conference hall of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), South Tripura. The training focused on Nutrition (AMB), Adolescent Counselling, and the JAGRATA Initiative, aiming to enhance healthcare delivery and community well-being.
Dr. Manish Chowdhury, District Family Welfare Officer (DFWO), South Tripura, and Dr. Alak Das, District Nodal Officer, served as key resource persons for the programme. They elaborated on the significance of School Health Camps, the current health scenario in Tripura, and the importance of adolescent health care and women’s empowerment. Their insights provided valuable knowledge to the participants, reinforcing the role of CHOs in strengthening public health initiatives.
The training programme witnessed active participation from CHOs representing various health facilities across the South Tripura District. Attendees engaged in discussions, shared their field experiences, and addressed challenges they face while delivering healthcare services. Their interaction helped foster a collaborative learning environment, encouraging practical solutions to improve healthcare outreach.
The District Health Society, South Tripura, has been consistently working towards improving the health and well-being of the community. This training programme marks another significant step in equipping healthcare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure better health services for the people of South Tripura.
