The Power of Tree Planting

The act of planting trees holds immense significance, not just in Patharpratima but across the world. Trees are the lungs of the earth, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing life-enabling oxygen. They provide habitat and sustenance to countless species, supporting biodiversity. Additionally, trees help in mitigating climate change by reducing the effects of pollution and acting as natural carbon sinks. Moreover, they offer shade, reduce soil erosion, and enhance the aesthetic beauty of the surroundings.

Banashree Mandal, President of Patharpratima Panchayat Samiti, emphasized the vital role that tree planting plays in the preservation of our environment and the enhancement of the local ecosystem. She stated, “Planting trees is an investment in our future. It ensures a cleaner, healthier environment for our children and grandchildren. It is heartening to see the community coming together to make our surroundings greener.”

A Community-Wide Effort (Patharpratima Govt. ITI)

The success of Gardening Week at Patharpratima Government ITI can be attributed to the collective effort of the local community, government authorities, and educational institutions. Such initiatives not only contribute to the restoration of green spaces but also serve as a platform for education and awareness about the importance of sustainable living.
