“Vikash Talk” Aims to Bring Back Non-Resident Tripura Residents by 2027, Foster Economic and Human Resource Development

“Vikash Talk”: Agartala, October 1, 2024: In an effort to create a pathway for the return of non-resident and expatriate Tripura residents by 2027, a live discussion series titled Vikash Talk has been launched by Positive Barta in collaboration with Tripura Santiniketan Medical College. This daily event aims to inspire the development of a positive mindset through mutual discussion, laying the groundwork for long-term growth in human resources and economic infrastructure.

Vision for 2027: Developing “Tripura Knowledge City”

One of the key objectives of the Vikash Talk initiative is the creation of Tripura Knowledge City by 2027. The vision involves collaboration with the State Government to select an appropriate location and build the necessary infrastructure to attract non-resident professionals back to the state. This ambitious project seeks to drive economic development and foster human capital through innovative planning and thoughtful dialogue.

By establishing a conducive environment through positive discussions, Vikash Talk aims to position Tripura as a center for education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, which will benefit both residents and returning expatriates.

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

A crucial aspect of the initiative is the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. The project envisions the establishment of over 100 organizations led by female entrepreneurs, who will be given the tools to become financially independent. This focus on gender equality is expected to bolster the economic growth of the state, contributing to an inclusive and progressive society.

Tripura Santiniketan Medical College: A Key Facilitator
Tripura Santiniketan Medical College is playing a pivotal role as the facilitator of the Vikash Talk project. The college is not only a partner in the discussions but is also contributing to the development of human resources by offering 150 seats in its MBBS program starting in 2024. The third round of counseling for the MBBS course is scheduled to begin soon, with further details available on the official websites of the college (www.tripurasmc.com) and the Government of Tripura (www.dmeonline.tripura.gov.in).

Daily Live Discussions: Shaping the Future

The Vikash Talk discussions are held every day at 5 p.m., offering a platform for influential figures and experts to share their insights on how to uplift the state and create conditions for growth. The talks are also live-streamed on Facebook via the Positive Barta group, allowing a wider audience to engage in the conversation. Interested participants can join the group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1006668034360457 to watch the sessions live.

Through Vikash Talk, Tripura is being positioned to embrace a future filled with potential, where the return of its expatriate community will fuel the development of the state’s human resources and economic infrastructure. With the active involvement of key stakeholders and the commitment to positive thinking, the initiative holds the promise of a brighter future for the state.
