Dishant Basu: Kolkata’s Achieves a resident of Bansdroni, Kolkata, has showcased his exceptional talent and dedication by securing the top position in the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) Aptitude Test (IAT). He achieved a rare feat by scoring a perfect 240 out of 240 in this national-level examination.
Dishant’s accomplishment is not just a personal victory but also a moment of immense pride for the entire state of Bengal. His four-member family, including his physician father, interior designer mother, and younger sister, is overjoyed with Dishant’s success. They have always pledged their unwavering support in helping him achieve his dreams.
A brilliant student from a young age, Dishant received his early education from Delhi Public School, Ruby Park. He scored an impressive 98.4% in his CBSE Class 10 examinations and 96.4% in Class 12. His profound inclination towards scientific research has always been evident, and this deep interest has undoubtedly propelled him to this remarkable achievement.
Dishant shared that he did not have to prepare separately for the IAT examination. His preparation for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced), and NEET concurrently covered the syllabus for IAT. He didn’t adhere to a fixed study schedule; instead, he remained immersed in his studies throughout the day. However, in his free time, he enjoys painting with colorful brushes, a hobby as dear to him as his passion for science.
Dishant’s future aspiration is to pursue research in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru. His success will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration for future generations of students.
